Barren Island is waaaay down at the end of Flatbush Ave. Past King's Plaza. Past the Belt. It used to be an island but was later attached to the mainland by landfill. It's kinda...barren. Mostly tall grass, scraggly trees and garbage.

Barren Island Tree
I took this shot with my iPhone 3G this spring down on Barren Island, as a storm was moving off. I really liked it and suddenly became very interested in photography. I started taking pictures constantly. And that is why I ended up creating this blog.
